Child Safety Standards
Roam is made by Trekroner Ventures ApS (Roam Software ApS), Copenhagen, Denmark.
Our standard
Roam has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Any content, message, profile or behaviour that sexualises, exploits or endangers a minor is forbidden on Roam.
Who can use Roam
Roam is for people aged 16 and over. Accounts are tied to a verified phone number. We remove accounts that break this rule as soon as we learn of them.
How to report
In the app: open a person's profile and tap Report, or report a tip from the tip itself. Reports reach us directly.
By email: privacy@joinroam.app. Please include the person's name or username in Roam and what happened.
What we do
- We review every report and act on CSAE reports as a priority.
- We remove the content and close the account involved.
- We report child sexual abuse material and suspected exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to the competent law enforcement authorities, and we preserve the relevant data for them as the law requires.
- We comply with the child safety laws of the countries where Roam is available.
